Arsenal tracking Hwang Hee-chan with summer exit from Red Bull Salzburg on the cards

Arsenal are one of the Premier League teams monitoring Hwang Hee-chan after his recent impressive outing in the Champions League.

Hwang scored Red Bull Salzburg’s first goal in last week’s 4-3 defeat against Liverpool and has caught the eye of several English teams.

Arsenal’s London rivals Crystal Palace are another team linked with the South Korean international, who is under contract until the end of next season.

With Hwang approaching the final 18 months of his contract and the forward’s form peaking, it is unsurprising that so many clubs are interested in him.

The Daily Mail claim Hwang is likely to move on next summer if he continues to make his mark.

Arsenal target Hwang’s form has been somewhat surprising after his underwhelming loan spell at Bundesliga side Hamburg last season.

The 23-year-old has now rectified his disappointing form and scored five goals in eight matches for Salzburg.

The South Korean’s excellent run has coincided with fellow forward Erling Braut Haaland’s scoring streak.

Haaland has also attracted the attention of Premier League clubs after his Champions League hat-trick against Genk and goal against Liverpool.

Hwang’s goal in the defeat to Liverpool was particularly noteworthy, as he turned Virgil van Dijk, and proved to be the kickstart for Salzburg’s revival.

Liverpool went on to win the game 4-3, a win which put them level on points with their Austrian opponents.

Salzburg host Napoli next and know that a win would see them go top of the group.

Arsenal, meanwhile, sit top of their Europa League group with two wins from two games.

The Gunners face Portuguese side Vitoria S.C. next, a game they will be heavy favourites to win.

Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League after a mixed start to the season.

The London side travel to Sheffield United next, looking to secure back to back wins for the first time since the opening two fixtures of the season.

Arsenal Supporters are Becoming Part of the Problem and its Only Going to Grow Worse

Arsenal supporters need to reconnect with their loyalty or find another club.

I’m livid. Probably beyond livid at the reactions of some Arsenal supporters at this weekend’s 2-2 draw with Norwich. With Emery dismissed, Freddie Ljungberg had just two training sessions to get things back in track.

It wasn’t the win everyone was craving but for a while Arsenal looked motivated and positive, but the same old ghosts came back to haunt them via fearful defending and constant backpedaling, which allowed Norwich to open them up on numerous occasions.

A great many fans were upset with the selection and I can’t deny being surprised by the choice of Mustafi, Luiz and Xhaka or the omission of Tierney and Bellerin, but the interim manager wanted to surround himself with experience in the hope that it paid off handsomely.

It didn’t and I can’t see Ljungberg persisting with the partnership of Mustafi and Luiz again because they virtually handed Norwich two goals by defending like strangers.

Apart from the score and gifted goals, there was a small glimmer of hope in terms of application and attitude, which I expected to see reflected in the comments of Arsenal supporters. Instead, it was a continuation of the toxicity that has descended over the Emirates in recent months, but this time it was aimed in the direction of Freddie Ljungberg.

I found it hard to believe that the figure that Arsenal supporters were praising last season for his work with the under 23’s and were begging to replace Emery, was now being subjected to vile personal abuse with some fans demanding he be sacked after ONE game !

These so called supporters are witless and gutless wonders, with absolutely no idea about football. Ljungberg will probably not get the job but under the circumstances Arsenal and their fans need him.

These are dark times and dark times require a sense of the safe and the familiar. He has proven himself as an inspiring coach at the under 23 level and needs to reboot Arsenal and it’s players until the end of the season.

Realistically, the expectations must be measured and whatever the Gunners become, it will take much more than one game and may even take a further four seasons.

It’s so very sad that football is now judged with such immediacy and the price of not achieving instant gratification is so high. Emery failed for many reasons, some of the fault for that failure was his, some wasn’t.

The club may be in the midst of another change of manager and direction, but it also needs decent support and there is a core that follow Arsenal, that is not only unrecognisable, but its also very unattractive and unwelcome.

A crude, ill informed, reactionary and ignorant group, that doesn’t even take the time to attend the Emirates or follow the club on the road. A breed of Arsenal supporters that requires trophies as affirmation of their own status or success. They don’t care about the club, only about how the club makes them look or feel when it’s not doing well.

I’ve had the misfortune to see Arsenal suffer over the years, but I’ve never pointlessly threatened to support another club or dismiss the club as a lost cause. I’ll support them at the next home or away game, with the same hopes and passion that I’ve always done. They will no doubt enthral and disappoint in equal measure but I’ll be there.

Arsenal supporters may deserve more but so does the club.

Transfer news LIVE: Mbappe to Chelsea, Real Madrid in Aubameyang talks, Man Utd, Liverpool

Chelsea fans want Kylian Mbappe

Chelsea fans are desperate for Kylian Mbappe to join the club after their transfer ban was lifted.

One said: “He aint joining liverpool he’s joining chelsea if anything good luck signing mbappe tho”.

Another added: “Welcome Mbappe to Chelsea”.

“If we can we should go all out for mbappe, let Chelsea ruin football again, common it’s time to unleash.” a third explained.

A fourth said: “We have lost Hazard, who is a top 3 player in the world RN. so we must look for at least a top 5 player to replace him.

“When I say we must sign at least one out of Dybala and Mbappe most Chelsea fans reply to me that it’s just a dream and they will join Real Madrid.”

And another is convinced it is happening, exclaiming: “Chelsea is going after Mbappe. You heard it here first.”

Liverpool ace James Milner on Leeds return

Liverpool ace James Milner would love to return to Leeds before his career ends but has had no contact from the Championship club at the moment.

He told The Sportsman: “Well yes, but I am a Leeds lad and I want the team to do well, I’m a fan.

“I always follow the team and the results. So you can never say No or even Yes because just so much changes in football, you never know what happens.

“At the moment I’m a Champions League winner with Liverpool and this year we’re really going for the Premier League, but I don’t know what the future will hold.

“It would be amazing to play for Leeds again but no one from the club has ever contacted me about that.

“People talk about my age and that I’m getting on, and could I continue after Liverpool, but I don’t think I’m typical physically for my age.”

Jose Mourinho not concerned

Jose Mourinho is not worried about Chelsea’s transfer ban being lifted.

“I’m not worried with that,” he said. “First, I’m not looking to the distance from Chelsea.

“Between us and Chelsea [there are] still two or three teams, so we cannot look so high and so far.

“Second – even with the transfer ban lifted, it is not easy to get better players than they have. They have very good players.

“Even with the ban gone and a hypothetical multi-million budget, I’m not sure they can get much better players than they have.”

Man Utd get Erling Haaland boost

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Erling Braut Haaland have been given a huge boost. Bayern Munich have reportedly decided against making a move for the young striker.

Haaland has been linked with a host of teams throughout Europe, as he appears set to leave Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old has been on fire this season, having scored 15 goals in 13 league games.

Haaland played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde, and therefore it was believed that the striker would favour a move to United so he could reunite with his old boss.

But United will face stiff competition for his signature, with Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City all believed to be interested.

Real Madrid in talks with Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal are facing battle to keep hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Real Madrid have opened talks with representatives of the Gabon international.

The Spanish giants are ready to offer the Gunners a swap deal involving Luka Jovic.

Transfer expert Duncan Castles has revealed all on the mega swap deal Real Madrid have planned.

He told the Transfer Window podcast: “There’s some information I have that Real Madrid have been looking at whether they can get Aubameyang out of Arsenal and have entered into discussions with his representatives to that effect.

Premier League final table predicted by stats experts – Liverpool title fail, Arsenal doom

Premier League favourites Liverpool are set to miss out on top spot to Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying Leicester. Stats experts have crunched the figures and tipped to Foxes to break the all-time points record to beat the Reds on goal difference.

Jurgen Klopp’s men missed out on title glory by a single point last season and have raced into an eight-point lead at the top after 15 fixtures this term.

Manchester City have slipped behind Leicester with Chelsea making up the top four as is stands, but that is not how the table is set to finish.

The experts have backed Watford to finish bottom with just nine points with Norwich and Southampton joining them in being relegated to the Championship.

Arsenal are set to finish all the way down in 16th with only West Ham separating them from the Saints.

Liverpool have been tipped to score 81 goals in their total of 38 games, conceding 18 to leave their goal difference on +63 alongside their 102 points.

Leicester have been predicted to match that tally, but go on to finish first by scoring 77 goals and only conceding 10, working out as a difference of +67.

Rodgers was asked about the chances of the Foxes winning the Premier League title for a second time before his side’s test against Aston Villa on Saturday, and he refuse to enter the debate.

Rodgers said: “It’s still reasonably early. For us, it’s about our performance level.
