Rangers vs Liverpool legends game: Who is playing in showpiece friendly at Ibrox this weekend?



Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Nacho Novo and Lee McCulloch will come together for a special legends match between Rangers and Liverpool this weekend.

A host of big names will head to Ibrox on Saturday for the charity match with the Gers managed by Alex McLeish and Ian Rush taking charge of the Reds.

Gerrard, the current Rangers boss, will skipper his old Liverpool side but has hinted he may play a cameo role for the Light Blues as well.

He said: “I always look forward to a game of football.

“I’m going to play for Liverpool and who knows, there might be a little cameo in a blue shirt as well we’ll have to see.”

Gerrard will be joined by Liverpool greats such as Luis Garcia, Dirk Kuyt and Vladimir Smicer.

Rangers, meanwhile, will see several old stars return including Peter Lovenkrands, Richard Gough and Sasa Papac.

The match will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday, October 12 and a full house is expected at Ibrox.
